The first principle of the classroom is to start with the learner. Our programme focuses on the holistic development of the individual. The young people are encouraged to set personal and educational goals that increase their self-esteem, skill and knowledge base and employability.

Our classroom modules are comprised of a combination of core and elective awards that are necessary to achieve either the QQI Level 3 Major Award in Employability Skills or the QQI Level 4 Major Award in General Learning. Streaming our programmes allows entry on to the training programme at the right level for each individual.

The programmes in the classroom are delivered following trainees' identified interests and needs with learners and staff acting as equal partners in the learning process. The learning environment is safe, structured and challenging; there is an emphasis on recognising and rewarding achievement rather than reinforcing failure.
