In what ways can Architecture ‘be used to reconnect with one another, to build care and empathy.

“Architecture helps us to register that feeling we describe as atmosphere, creating a strong link between our physiological state, our emotional state, and the physical environment. The experience can effect an individuals sense of identity and worth when, in turn, impacts attitude, mood and behaviour. It has been argued that if architecture can demoralize and contribute to extreme mental enervation, could it not also prove to be restorative and empowering.”

Candle Community Trust received an award from the Royal Irish Architecture Institute for the recently redeveloped building under the category “Wellbeing”.   Attached here is the recent RIAI magazine which features and article on Candle.
